Two of my favorite car shows are coming up this weekend...
Import and Kit Car Carlisle is happening Friday 5/15 to Sunday 5/17. And it’s not F&F wannabe Civics with 5” exhausts. It’s all the weird old stuff us Jalops dream about, like Datsuns, Peugeots, Saabs, etc. More info here: !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!
Saturday the 16th is also the Latimore Valley Jalopy Showdown. So if imports aren’t your thing, and you want to see some vintage, patina’d, built-not-bought rods and customs, check out the Jalopy Showdown. Lots of rat rods, and a cool selection of early American iron. You’ll also see lots of engine porn, like Nailheads, early Firepower Hemis. One guy even has a 50’s GMC Cab Over with a “Big Block V-12” GM designed for military missile haulers nestled between the frame rails! Also saw my first and only latham plate supercharger there.
